Atlanta

July 6, 2007 | calendar, interviews

I’m leaving today for Atlanta. ICRS is a favorite time of the year for me.

Imagine that you love candy, and once a year you get to attend a conference candy.jpgwhere all the new candies are rolled out for everyone to taste, and to take home.

That’s what ICRS is to the booklover. I’ll meet my favorite authors and musical artists. I’ll sit under the speaking of my favorite speakers. I’ll be immersed in training as an author and speaker. I’ll do media interviews and booksignings for my 2007 books. I’ll connect with my wonderful publishers.

And I’ll spend lots of time with really close friends in the industry. ICRS is the only place that I get to do that.

It’s a writers’ paradise–at least I think so.

I’ll come back exhausted physically, but re-energized internally. I’ll need that because I turn around and take off to Kansas City to speak to hundreds of teens seven times in four days.

Every year that I attend ICRS I ask God to speak to me about my ministry and my career. This year I need definite direction. I need to know what to put down and what to sharpen and focus.

Will you join me and pray with me this week? I would love that.
