Will you marry me?

The answer is yes!
While I was in ICRS, I received a fun phone call. Ryan, my son, had just proposed at 1,000 feet to his beautiful girlfriend, Kristin, in a hot air balloon.
She’s beautiful. She’s kind. She loves the Lord, and she loves
my son. How cool is that?
It’s a gift, getting to open your heart and family to another person.
Welcome, Kristin, to the Eller family. We love you.
On a personal note, with one wedding just completed (Leslie’s), Ryan and Kristin are planning theirs for next March. We’ve always done everything in threes. That’s what happens when you have twins when your oldest is still one year old. This is proposal and wedding number three for us–all in just over two years.
But the reality is that I’m blessed. As a cancer survivor of almost 16 years, I’ve been able to be a part of all three of my children’s weddings, and that’s a gift of incredible portion.

July 12th, 2007 at 10:12 pmWeddings, weddings, everywhere. Two years ago, you were also at *my* wedding too! I was happy you were there. It must be a rock bang boom to have all three married at once! My mom had 13 years in between her children’s weddings, my sis in 1992 and me in 2005. Eh. I am pleased as turkey for you.
July 13th, 2007 at 12:06 pmHow romantic. For our 25th wedding anniversary I booked a bed & breakfast in Napa and a hot air balloon ride over the wine country. My husband is a retired pilot but had never done a hot air balloon. We loved it. so peaceful and serene with only the wind pushing you through the sky. We have now been married 32 years and 10 days ago I underwent brain tumor surgery at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. Pathology report came back yesterday. Praise God!! No malignancy I had a wonderful prayer support team and a great medical team. All is well and I am now on the road to a full recovery with no further radiation or chemo. God is so Good!! Have been fortunate to have my strong Christian daughter, Ann Bussey and my God loving husband, Tom by my side constantly for the last ten days. Joyce Holroyd

Congratulations on your son’s engagement!
She loves the Lord and loves your son; what an answer to your faithful intercession. Such great news and how blessed they are to have each other (and you). I am happy for you all.
Thanks too, Suz, for highlighting my book.
What a great friend you are~
