Moving
September 7, 2007 | T. Suzanne Eller

I will be saying goodbye to my home of 13 years. There are a lot of memories in this house. It’s where Ryan, Melissa, and Leslie grew up. It’s where my horses play. We will move in 29 days to a home near the university where Richard is studying.
I can’t wait, and yet I have waited–for four years. . .
Has that ever happened to you? You know that things will change, and yet nothing does. I knew we were going to move–toward God’s plan, away from familiarity and comfort, nearly four years ago. I write about this today on Boomer Babes Rock, in a post titled “MOVE“. Here is an excerpt from that post:
Four years ago I sat out on my small fishing dock overlooking the pond on our peaceful homeplace. But I was anything but peaceful.
MOVE.
That’s the word I heard distinctly inside — not audible, but clear nonetheless.
“Tell Richard that we need to move. He’s the one that won’t budge.”
Stone-faced. That’s the word I said quietly to myself. My fun, gregarious, light-up-the-room husband had become silent. After nearly 15 years of working in a factory, first shiftwork, and then later days in a hot (well over 100 degrees), dusty environment, something had been lost.
And I wanted it back.

Suzanne,
I really enjoyed your article on TCW - The Rise of Raunch. Thank you for standing up and expressing your concern so eloquently.
Moving is a transition in and of itself, regardless of the four years you’ve had to prepare. I pray that you will be blessed mightily in your new home and that you will have many opportunities to spread the joy of Jesus in your new home.

I also appreciated your recent article in TCW. Do you know if I can link to it somehow? Tomorrow I’m going to blog about something I did over the weekend, and I was inspired by your article. I couldn’t find a link, but if there is one, please let me know at julie at juliecarobini. com
thanks!

Hey Julie, As soon as the article is posted online (TCW chooses different articles to link on their site), I’ll post a link. I promise!
