The TCW Article

September 26, 2007 | Media Interviews

I just finished a wonderful radio interview with Bennett and Joyce Luke of America’s Wake Up Call, a nationally syndicated program that reaches many. I want to thank them for the opportunity to share my heart on the issues of teens and also mentoring.

The Woman I Am Becoming: Embracing the Chase for Identity, Faith, and DestinyTo listen to this interview, go to their download site and click on T. Suzanne Eller, The Woman I Am Becoming.

They contacted me after Joyce read the TCW article. You can read it here.

Hi, I am so glad to have found your site today. I read your article from TCW. Thank you for taking a stand and offering advice.

I am a mother of 4, two already teenagers, a missionary in Africa and youth group leader. It has been appalling to watch American culture change over the last ten years since we have been overseas. I have been totally shocked at what TV shows are acceptable viewing to even our Christian friends. I admit to watching some of it, usually watching in horror, almost like watching a freak show at a Carnival. We have tried to watch some things that are so popular (our friends pass around seasons of DVDs they bring back from America) and we don’t find them funny at all. We feel like old fuddy-duddies.

We have friends that argue about being relevant in the world. There has to be a line between being relevant and riding the fence or even falling over onto the other side, I believe.

    Thanks for speaking out.
    Blessings,
    Angie Lechner
