Review: Broken Heart on Hold
April 3, 2008 | Books

I have a friend whose marriage isn’t working. I have wished for a resource to place in her hands, but didn’t have one.
Until now. . .
Linda W. Rook’s “Broken Heart on Hold” is a perfect gift to tuck into a care package for a friends who is separated from her husband.
Too often we try to empathize when we haven’t walked in someone’s shoes. Linda and her husband were in love when they married. They considered themselves “halves”, so in love that they were complete with each other.
Twenty years and two children later they were distant. They loved each other and they loved God, which made it only more confusing when Linda’s husband decided to leave. Linda thought it would last a week, and then a month, but she never thought it would take two years to heal the relationship.
This isn’t a book with pat answers. It reads like a devotional, but from the heart of someone who has questioned the hard times, who knows what it is like to love and lose that love, and who gently walks alongside the reader.
She shares stories of couples who battled infidelity, emotional abuse, and more. Through it all she gently shares how to find strength and comfort when you have a “broken heart on hold”.
Look for the upcoming interview with author, Linda W. Rooks. If you have a questions for the author, send it and we’ll share it with her.
