Cutest kid ever
May 16, 2008 | family, quotes
My daughter’s good friend, LeAnne, has a 2 1/2 year old son named Titus. If there was an award for the cutest kid ever category, I think he would win it. I checked in to LeAnne’s Facebook lately and she had shared some of Titus’ recent sayings. You got to read these. They are priceless.

We were sitting on the front porch sharing my ipod.
I asked, “Hey Titus, do you want some ice cream?”
He answered with his eyes closed:
“Just let me listen. I’m enjoying this music”
(John Prine, “Thats The Way The World Goes Round”)
After being asked: “Hey Titus, what do you want to be when you grow up? An architect, engineer…or an artist?” He was building a bridge out of his fort building kit.
He answered: “No…I’m going to help little children cross the street when im a grown-up.” Then finished building his bridge.
He was asked by a friend we had to dinner, “Titus do you work? Do you have a job?” He answered, “My job is to take care of momma.”
“Remember that one time you cut off all my hair and I wasn’t cute anymore?” titus
He was smacking. We asked what he was doing. He replied, “I have songs in my mouth”…
Then his dad told “well let ‘em out.” Then Titus sang all the way home…thirty min. drive.
“Mom, he probably thought you were a toilet” -titus
(moments after being peed on by an enormous rhinoceros …..fire hose people!, like a fire hose )
“God gave me to you……(long pause)…..God is a nice God….BECAUSE..he helps little boys find their daddies and their mommies..” (I once told him God gave him to me….the rest he put together and said to me as i was putting him to bed after being gone for six days.. )
“I have two families..”- titus
“Oh yeh?” -me
“ I have a brother and a sister that live in Norman.” -Titus
“What are their names?”- george
“We’ll…they’re just pretend…BUT I’m going to buy a brother and sister… I’ll name the girl Zoey and the boy Carison” - titus.
“I need to take my hat off so I can kiss better.” titus
I was trying to get Titus to brush his teeth....I told him he had bugs on his teeth.
Later that morning, on our way to school, he told me he was sad he lost his bugs.
“See mom, those bugs on my teeth go down into my heart and that is how i tell my stories. If you take away the bugs on my teeth then I won’t have any stories to tell,” he said with his chin lowered and in a somber voice.

That IS the cutest kid ever! And how on earth were they close enough for a rhino to pee on them, even with a fire hose blast? OMG!
