Where do I begin?

November 24, 2008 | Christian Momlogic, Just thinking out loud, Nurturing Family

I dreamed about blogging last night. Maybe that’s because I’ve not blogged on this site for a couple of days. Maybe it’s because life keeps going on and there are things to share. Maybe I need to take a sleeping pill so I can do what ordinary people do at night–sleep!

I wanted to update you on Christian Momlogic. This little community is growing like crazy! 145 women who pray for each other, who talk about motherhood, but also a place where I get to interview amazing authors and musical artists on issues that hit every day life. Time Warner (Telepicture Productions) is the owner of all of the communities, and working for them as a featured writer has been a gift. I love it! They are watching this community grow, talking about it on Twitter, and the blogs go out to thousands of women outside the CML community.

Or maybe I want to tell you about watching Ryan run the Tulsa Route 66 1/2 marathon. How proud I was of him and Kristin. How we bundled up and cheered them on.

Happy anniversary 29 years later!

I definitely want to share that today is my anniversary. Married 29 years to a guy I love. I surprised him on Friday. His instructions were to come home on time from work. I whisked him away to a Couple’s Spa weekend, something that was a luxury, unexpected, and a retreat for both of us. My guy’s guy loved the pampering. I received a European massage. His was a deep tissue. He is still sore! But he loved it. Spa retreats or facials or any of that is above our economic line while he’s in school, but it’s one of the things I love best.

I have a pamphlet on my fridge. It’s been hanging there for a few weeks, announcing the opening of a spa nearby. For the first time Richard noticed it. He studied every option. I think my guy is a spa guy now. It won’t be often, but maybe once or twice a year we can both get a massage and work out all the kinks and muscle aches that come from living life fully.

There’s more, but for now I leave you with a few pictures.

The price you pay - a "little" blister!!

They earned those medals. : )

Happy Anniversary! I love the spa story-when my husband and I went on our cruise in May, we also had a couples massage, what a fun experience. That is no “little” blister, I hope it heals okay…Happy Thanksgiving, love you! ShaRhonda

    Suzie,

What a great post today. Thank you for sharing.

I see now what happened to your foot. Blisters can be very nasty. I hope it heals ok and doesn’t cause too much trouble.

Good job to y’all for the mini-marathon.

    Hugz in Jesus!
