Surrender: a book review
September 18, 2009 | Books
What happens when life doesn’t make sense? You are confused about your purpose or your dreams just aren’t coming true?
Joni Lamb, talk show personality and musical artist, describes how to meet the challenges with one powerful act of faith: surrender.
In this book she shares how she and her husband had a dream. It was to start a small TV broadcast. She talks candidly about how this step of faith led to overwhelming financial challenges, as well as personal sacrifices over the next several years. Eveutually she and her husband became owners of DayStar Broadcasting, which reaches over 75 million people across the world.
Joni suggests that surrender may mean waiting, it may involve sacrifice, but that the path of surrender always leads to contentment.
She shares her personal journey of surrender, and takes it deeper, sharing honestly how surrendering your marriage, your children, your career, your health, your friendships, and even your failures can help you connect with the One whose surrender offered salvation to you and me.
