Although I do not have any children in my home and haven’t had for 12 yrs I can still relate on some levels, especially the gramma connection. Even though my family hasn’t let me connect with my four little grandsons, I still have them and they are there. They range in age from 2 – 8. My daughter just turned 26 in Feb.
She decided to get started young. She was 17 when she got pregnant with the 1st. She left home and cleaved to a boy who she felt was “the one”. She did not even marry him. She ended up leaving him after 3 babies. She met up with an “old” friend from high school. She decided to marry him. We spent a lot of money on that wedding. She was found to be pregnant with baby #4. The marriage was dissolved before a year was up.
To back up a little bit. She lost custody of the 1st three boys. The two older boys are with my daughter’s 1/2 sister. The 3rd boy was adopted by the other grandmother. His birthday was just a few days ago and I couldn’t even contact him to wish him a happy birthday. He turned 6. He’ll be in Kindergarten this year. My daughter chooses to punish me and not keep in contact with me. She only shares tidbits of info leaving me hanging. I’ve learned to detach myself. I only know of her boys as others in the family. I do not “feel” like a gramma.
Please pray for my daughter and her family! There’s a heap more about her, but I will spare you the horrifying details. Thank you for allowing me to vent! Not complaining mind you… just venting.
Happy Friday…because I choose JOY, in the LORD! AMEN!
