sweet, sweet moments
August 17, 2010 | Just me
Richard is asleep on the couch, baby Elle tucked close on his chest. I took this picture just before they both nodded off.
Give me a million dollars, or give me moments just like these because they are simply worth that much.
What is one small, precious treasure around you right now? Don’t miss it. Push away the busyness, the noise, the to-do list. Tune in to it.
Thank God for it.
It’s those things that will one day mean the most, but why wait? Treasure it today.

August 17th, 2010 at 3:46 pmAnd the reminder to find treasure in the simple things around us!! I completely agree that we need to notice the little things that God places in our lives as reminders of His goodness and His faithfulness and His love!! They can be found in the innocence of a newborn child, a blossoming flower, the smile on our child’s face, and in the peace that we find at the end of a busy day….
I appreciate your blog so much! You are always encouraging, honest, and a blessing to me! So, thank you for sharig with all of us, especially this sweet moment from your life!
Simply the sweetest! The only thing at the moment for me is my dog, Misa. She comes to me for snuggles randomly but most often early in the wee hours of the morning. She’s pretty much as large as a small to average sized woman. She’s a leaner… When I snuggle her while standing she leans against my legs full weight…. around 100 lbs. I have to brace myself… She will turn her face up to me and nuzzle herself into me… Humans who say animals are dumb… need to experience an intelligent animal and tell me different. God has blessed me with this 4 legged kid and I’m grateful! I’m usually the one behind the camera, so, I have one pic of me and Misa from several months ago when she was laying with me on my bed… I’ll share the link here. She jumped up there with me as I was talking to Paul, my hubs, as he was getting ready for work. She immediately laid in a spoon position against me. If I hadn’t raised up all you would see is my rump in the pic! LOL. She’s an amazing dog.
Soon, Paul will return from his trip to see his father and I will experience a sweet return with him. Praise God… I’ve missed him so much!

August 24th, 2010 at 7:53 amThanks for the picture. It was so precious. I am getting some of those sleeping with the dog pictures; of my husband Alec and Brandi Lynn our shelter dog. He is ill and we do not know how much longer he will be with us. So snap all those beautiful times you can. Blessing to all.
