1. Does there seem to be a faith in the book of Mark? What is it?
2. Why do we think we can hide our heart from Christ? What is the benefit? What do we lose?
3. What might happen if you (and I) lived honestly before God?
4. What is the difference between a “heart-led” faith and faith that is tradition or exterior only?

1. Does there seem to be a faith in the book of Mark? What is it? I think the faith in Mark is faith in tradition over faith in God.
2. Why do we think we can hide our heart from Christ? What is the benefit? What do we lose? We lose our freedom and there is no benefit. If we can’t be honest with ourselves and God, we are truly in bondage. Honesty is freedom.
3. What might happen if you (and I) lived honestly before God? Freedom! I believe we would see a great change in our actions and the people around us. I just listened to a message from Nancy Leigh DeMoss about “Free to be Real” It has helped me a great deal this past week. If we can’t be real and honest before God, who can we be real with?
4. What is the difference between a “heart-led” faith and a faith that is tradition or exterior only? One is of God the other is of man. I have truly grown in my personal relationship with God in the last few years. Growing up in a christian household, it is very easy to be doing the right things without the right heart. Eventually you become bound by the tradition and not worshiping freely. You are doing because you think you have to instead of because you want to. It makes all the difference.
Thanks Suzie for this study at this time.
