Why is it important to distinguish between a truth and a lie? Because the more we distinguish truth from a lie the freer we are to join in with God and run after our dreams! We are no longer distracted or derailed by those lies, but we recognize them for what they are so that we can run past them or knock them out of our way.
I’m so glad you joined me today as we study this great book and dig into scripture together! I laughed out loud when I realized that this vlog completely missed the top of my head, but the truth contained in the study is still valid. ♥ So, let’s get started!
Hey ladies, I just returned from a weekend of ministry. Maybe that’s why I look so tired in this video! But I’m truly excited to meet with you over the next 8 weeks every Tuesday right here and on the Live Free Facebook group page.
This is a great study, and I believe it has the potential to change you–and me.
You can also purchase it on Amazon.com or any other online distributor, but the proceeds from the P31 site go 100% right back into reaching women.
Don’t worry if the book doesn’t reach you by Tuesday, the videos don’t go away. They’ll be archived right here on my blog, as well as on my Bible study channel on YouTube (check out past studies!).
I also plan to host a couple of phone studies where we can talk together, pray together, and encourage each other in the journey.
Do you remember when you came back from summer vacation and your teacher asked you to write “What I Learned this Summer”?
Six months have passed since I began ”waging Kana“. The funny thing is that I didn’t want to stop because fasting has taught me where the enemy desires to slow me down, and while that’s a hard thing to realize, it’s also freeing.
What did I learn? There is still one or two areas where I want to grow. Where I desire God to live deeper so that Suzie isn’t always the boss. ♥
And my friend? I’ve seen God’s faithfulness shine bright these past few months. It’s not been easy for her, but He’s revealed His love in a thousand different ways to her.
I’d love to hear your thoughts or questions about fasting. If you read the devo, you know that fasting isn’t confined to food, and the reason we do it is to bring the enemy low — not just in a situation, but in our own lives as well.
On Monday I’ll choose one comment and send a copy of my sweet P31 friend and sister, Lysa Terkeurst’s book, What Happens When Women Walk in Faith, to one of you.
I’ll check in throughout the day to hear what you have to say and look forward to the conversation.
Rita was the winner of today’s giveaway. I have sent an email to her! Congrats, Rita, and thank you to the rest of you for such great comments. I read them all, responded to many of you, and prayed for many of you. Suzie
Yesterday I sat in my home church service. I listened as a man read from a missionary newsletter. It read something like this:
7 people saved. 10 people healed. 1 person no longer broken emotionally. 1 man released from hospital. 10 people who must lose everything to become Christians encouraged in their faith. 1 family made whole again.
The numbers just kept piling up.
The one thing that struck me….hard, was that the missionary didn’t say one word about himself or his ministry. He just recounted the “fruit” of what was taking place.
I placed my forehead on the pew in front of me and listened to the sweet whisper of my Heavenly Father: “Suz, this is what really matters.” (more…)
Don’t you love the expression that is captured on YouTube videos? This one made me laugh out loud, but regardless of that this is a topic dear to my heart. It’s helped me grow in every aspect of my relationships with those I love the most.
1. In context, John was teaching a church, a community, to have stability. How could giving up guilt help you as a mom or in your most important relationships? (more…)
Time. It seems to crawl when you are a nursing mom or a mom with toddlers, when everything you do is wrapped around that child’s needs. People say things like, “Time flies. Enjoy it while you can!”.
So you treasure that finger wrapped around yours, that sweet baby smile, and those drive-by kisses.
When they become teens, time goes into warp speed and suddenly everything the seasoned moms say makes sense. You still want to treasure that time, but sometimes its hard. You are juggling. Work. Laundry. Sports. Food. Church activities.
Maybe you feel like your relationship is distant because of those demands, or all of your conversations take place in a car, or all you do is throw out commands or instructions as you walk out the door to go to one more place.
But what do your teens really need from you? You might be surprised what teens say they need. (more…)
