Our community just keeps on growing. It’s the 2nd largest community in Momlogic, right behind the Win It! group. Our Healthy Living group is launched (led by Life Coach Christine Kinney) and our book club (led by Desiree Graham) is discussing Stephen Baldwin’s “The Life and Death of Gabriel Phillips”. It’s lively. People have strong opinions on this book, and I’m loving the discussion.

A laugh a minute: Legend Tim Conway

When you think of Tim Conway, what comes to mind? Maybe it’s the “old man” shuffle. One hip out. Shuffle. Shuffle. Snap. Or maybe it’s Amos Tucker in the 1975 Disney film The Apple Dumpling Gang. Maybe it’s the gang at The Carol Burnett Show. The improv comedy between Harvey Kormak and Conway was just as funny as the skits, often dropping the star of the show to her knees, laughing so hard she cried.

Tim Conway celebrates 75 years of life on December 15th. He’s been in show business for over 40 years. He’s still laugh-out-loud funny, like when he tells the story of his mother coming to America from Ireland. She only knew two words of English, Conway says. They were “chocolate sundae”. He holds out his arms and makes a phttth sound, showing how his Irish momma widened. (To see him tell it, click here.)

We’ve talked about a lot of interesting things this week on CML, but we’re also starting a couple of amazing new groups: healthy living and a book club!

• Tough Times During a Season of Celebration – I remember a time when the bank and the utility companies knew we were struggling, but no one else did. It was Christmas and Santa was no where on the scene.
• Mommy Pick Me Ups for Every Day Moms – Interview with authors, Linda Gilden and Edna Ellison who talk about overwhelming moments and Mommy Pick Me Ups
• A God Spa Day - Continuing with interview with Linda and Edna who shows how to have a God spa day
• Decluttering the Holidays – Life Coach and “Declutter Specialist”, Christine Kinney, drops in to show us how to destress and declutter Christmas. Great interview with tons of practical tips! (She should see my office. I need my own declutter specialist.)

Our Christian Momlogic book club is off and rolling. We are reading The Death and Life of Gabriel Phillips by Stephen Baldwin and Mark Tabb. We have 20 members and invite you to join us!

We have also began a Christian Momlogic Healthy Living group. This is for women of faith who want to lose weight, eat healthy, and do it with a huge dose of encouragement!
