The first year of Leslie’s life was a magical blur. Surgeries for a birth defect. Play time. Lots and lots of nursing. Lots and lots of love. I thought I was the best mom ever and times felt I didn’t have a clue. When I suspected that I was pregnant when she was nine months old, I hoped I was wrong, but I wasn’t. Nine months later I had not one, but two babies. I was almost 24 years old and the mother of three.
Suddenly I was over my head. Big time.
